Felt

Felt is a bicycle manufacturer based in California, with an emphasis on performance bikes stemming from its roots in triathlon.Founded in 1991 by Jim Felt, whose background was as a motocross mechanic, had been asked to build triathlon bike frames for Johnny O’Mara, who would use triathlon as part of his training to get into condition for a season of motocross racing.

Felt's flagship aero road bike model, the AR, traces its roots to 2008, when former Paris-Roubaix winner Magnus Backstedt inquired about his bike for the 'Hell of the North' in his first season with the Garmin team. He wanted something that could handle his power and suit a late attack, and the resulting bike created the line still in use today.

Kristin Armstrong won three straight Olympic Gold medals in the time trial in 2008, 2012, and 2016, riding a Felt bike on the latter two occasions.

The company diversified its product range to include road bikes, mountain bikes, cyclo-cross bikes and more.
