When was the last time you were able to have fun with your family? Unfortunately, we often run out of time. On the weekends, there's housework, workouts, kids, errands and many other things that consume the majority of our time and energy. While most of these activities and tasks are necessary, it is still important to gather with our loved ones when we have the chance.
Fortunately, with the holiday season, we finally have the opportunity to gather with our loved ones. During this festive time, it's almost inevitable to share a nice turkey dinner, or to organize a shopping day for gifts. History repeats itself a little bit from year to year. Did you know that it is possible to spend time with your family during the holidays in a more trendy, different, up-to-date, less traditional way? We have an idea for you, your family and your friends.
Fatbike on the trail near you!
The fatbike, the snow bike with big tires, is clearly an experience you must try! Here are 3 easy trails to get you and your family started.
1- Sentier le Seigneurial - Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno
More than 35 km of snowy trails ready to make you live an extraordinary winter adventure. With several climbs and descents along the way, you will certainly not be cold during your run.
2- Oka Abbey / Cycles Tomahawk - Oka- Laurentians
Notre-Dame-du-Lac Abbey, also known as Oka Abbey, is a former abbey of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance, located in Oka, near the Lake of Two Mountains, in the Laurentians. This place is known for its high quality standards and for maintaining its trails. This place is perfect for those who love to explore and discover new places.
3- Mont-Royal - Montreal
Yes, it is possible to do it in Montreal too! On top of that, the fatbikes available on site are electric. The activity is a 2 hours guided tour. You will climb the summit without any effort with your electric bikes. However, you don't have to talk about it, it's just a detail. You will explore the urban green spaces surrounding Mount Royal. Also, a little learning about the architecture and history of the city will be part of this snowy ride through the city.
All these places offer equipment rental (bikes, helmets, etc.) at their own rates.
Enjoy the ride!
